Nigel lives in Mount Maunganui. When he is not surfing or swimming, he has been known to put pen to paper in an attempt to weave words into beautiful, flowing, and meaningful poetry. Nigel says, "like most of the waves I attempt to ride, it ends up a beautiful, flowing, and meaningful failure, but it’s a fun and exciting journey."
