About This Event

Presented by Motif Poetry
Hosted by Te Auaha
Supported by Wellington City Council 💛

Worst poet wins! We don’t mean bad: we mean hilariously terrible, laugh-out-loud embarrassing, entertainingly cringe-worthy poetry so awful that it transcends quality – becoming genius.

Back for its fourth year, poets, actors, and comedians from around Te Whanganui-ā-Tara are preparing themselves to bring their worst! Our panel of "Expert Judges" are already preparing themselves to give out shockingly low scores and crown, for another year, the Worst Poet in Wellington. It's a prestigious title and the competition will be fierce.

This event is a fundraiser for Motif Poetry Charitable Trust.
Format created by Varjack & Simpson.

Tickets on sale soon – $30 wages, $25 unwaged, $40 Extra Aroha Ticket
